Hello,I have a question for you all. I have a 98 Honda CR-V. My
battery went dead due to my negligence in not turning the lights off.
When I tried to turn my radio on it had an error message on the
little screen. So, I pressed all the buttons hoping it would work.
Then another error messege came up. I dont know what to do. How do I
get my audio system to work properly again? Thanks

I think you have to type in the security key that came
with the radio. Just got mine but I think I remember
this instruction from the salesman.

Good luck and let us know if this works.

HI,
I don't know if anyone answer your question yet,but here's it anyway. When you purchased your cr-v you should have received some papers work and owner mauals which has the code to the radio. You must enter this code or your radio will not work. This will happen any time you unplug the battery or with dead battery. Don't enter incorrect code more than three times or the radio will lock up. This is built in as an anti theft device, but if it did lock up just unplug the positive(red) cable to the battery and enter the correct code. If you don't have the code call the honda dealer and provide them with your vechicle  ID# and they can get the code for you. I hop this help.
