The CRV-2003 gas mileage is weird..very weird. After putting on over 2000 miles in less than a month, the gas mileage sucks. That's the only thing that i don't like this 2nd generation vehicle. Makes wonder if I shoud have gotten a V6 somewhere. But I have bought Hondas for the last 15 years. Anyway, no matter how I drive I get 20 in the city and varies on the highway. I got anywhere from 23MPG to 27 MPG on the same type of highway. I think this new type of engine may be the reason. Let just say my 2001 gave way better gas performance in the city and on the highway. I think that they may end up having to refine the engine for the 3rd generation vehicles.

Sounds like different gas. I find that if I use gas from on station to another it will vary as much as 5 MPG, It has to do with the variable timing and electricnics. Low grade gas causes the timing to retard.
