Sounds like a computer problem. The bad thing is,
and I own a 90 model LX by the way, that you will
most likely have to deal with a dealer mechanic. Honda
loves those computers and anything electrical. It most
likely is within the circuit dealing with the signal
from the brake pedal touching the "button" that makes
the lights come on in the rear. Confusing wording I
know, but, think about it. When you hit the brakes the
lights come on, and you have problems. The only way I
can think to remedy this is by getting the computer
parts looked at, but first have someone inspect your
wiring on that circuit. there may be a break, or
ground--grounds happen at odd times, or it may be just be the
universe, something small, or something huge. The only way
to fix this is by thinking logically and asking
people who know Hondas
