hi!

(sorry for my bad english )

i own a 2002 honda crv ex-limited (leather) since the 30 november 2001

1- me and an another owner remark that there's always a burn odor in
the back, near the wheel (like the mazda bearing problem)
2- the 2002 always go to the right on the road, that really bad when
you ride a long distance.

No solution from honda canada... BUT TODAY, my vendor goes for a test
ride with their demonstrator model, and THE SAME PROBLEM! So the
dealer will put more pressure on honda canada because 3 crv here on 3
have those 2 problem...

3- a rattle in the steering (plastic clicking somewhere)
4- this morning my rear left door was unable to unlock...

So, i miss my 1997 "no problem" crv... i hope they will fix the 4
problem soon

I have a 2002 CRV-EX automatic and have experienced the same "burn
odor" you describe. This happened twice and both times it happened
after climbing the same steep mountain. I checked all the fluid
levels and could find nothing wrong. This smells exactly like oil
burning on a hot exhaust component and seems to come from the rear of
the car. I haven't been back to the dealer yet, but I feel they will
have a hard time re-creating the problem without driving 50 miles to
the hills. If you find the solution, let me know. Aside from this one
concern, we love the little Mojave-Mist colored dude!

Thanks...

We noticed it when we picked the car up. It appears to have been
something on the manifold, possibly some oil or grease picked up
during the transportation from Japan to here. After the first few
days it went away.
