Okay, I've been reading up and I'm still confused. When I start my car in the morning or just any cold start during the day......Shifting into 2nd gear seems to catch and sometimes grinds. I've tried this mulitple times depressing the clutch completely and tried it at differing RPM's. Admittedly, it's less of an issue at higher RPM's(>5000), but based on the stupid shift points in the manual it grinds like hell. I've never had an issue like this with any other manual transmission. My '90 integra never did this even at 110K miles on the original clutch. The '85 CRX Si never did it and the '04 Infinity G35 Coupe doesn't do it..........What gives? I took it down to the dealer (after it had warmed up) and the service tech took it on a run with me and nothing was wrong he was sifting around 5500 RPM's. Everything else about the car is perfect at 23K miles........HELP

The sounds are more of a nuisance than anything else some people look at me like I didn't know how to drive stick.. Other than that when the car warms up after 10 or so minutes it goes away completely. Again if I rev it and am pushing the car up to 7K RPM there is no sound whatsoever when shifting....go figure

Hmmm. I have the same exact problem with my '04 TSX. I wonder if it's more than an individual car problem and in fact is more wide-spread. Off to the dealer I go...Joe

I think it's something to do with the 6spd tranny. Either there's a synchro prob or the fluid in the clutch is too viscous in the cold......I dunno
