I don't know, but the car is essentially unchanged from the 2002 year, with only cosmetic changes. After I did some research, it turns out that it is a known problem with the Type-S transmission. Acura even has a service bulletin on the topic. It doesn't seem to fix the problem, however. Their "triple cone synchros" seem to be a load of bunk.
