I got my 2008 Honda Accord, EX, Sedan in Virgina, December 2007. $21,100 in total. I think I got an excellent deal. Anyone else know how good this is or if I could have gotten a better deal?

I went on the Edmunds.com website. That is a very nice site and full of information. You type the car type and year, along with model. Then you have a price range to pick from. It has a separate place for used cars too. It sounds like you got a great deal on your car. Congratulations!

When it comes to car prices and all that involved it makes things confusing. The fact that you got such a great deal is amazing indeed. The add so many ways of making extra from you. It's a very rare to buy a car for a reasonable amount. A final price that they stuck to is something we all look for. Glad you got it!!

I think what helped me is that it was end of the year (December 2007) and I found out some information on my sales guy - he and the dealership weren't making their numbers that year or month and my sales guy was looking for another job which tells me he just wants to make a sale to get his bonus. Both he and the finance guy knew what price I wanted and said I wasn't willing to lease the car (but based on my usage I knew I was going to lease as it is the best method for my usage). So in order to get the price legit to finance some of it, at the last minute he dropped the price another $1,600 instantly. Immediatly I said, let's take a look at the leasing options which came to about $40/month less than what I was willing to spend (which was already tough for the sales guy to allow, initially). It was surely a win/win for me. Great luck is really all it came down to.

Wow! IMO... That is an awesome deal you got on the invoice price. I just got my 08 accord ex for 23k last night. (included all fees...) Keeping in mind that I also got $14k from Honda towards my trade for my 04 Xterra; which was a great deal in itself; so I was left financing a $25k car well under $17k.
I am so excited about the accord; I've always wanted one; the ride is incredible; and I am looking forward to hopefully many happy years with this car.

I'll just tell you that I know someone who sells cars. They are always looking to make a deal with you. Each month they start with nothing and have to make a living from it. Most people come to the dealership with on-line research already. They won't budge on price, so they usually buy somewhere else.
