FYI,
I spoke to a Susan S. of Honda America's customer service who said that the manual reference to the key locks was a typo. According to her, the 2004 CRV was designed not to unlock all the doors when the key is put in door lock, turned to the right, and held there.
WHAT A COP OUT!!! Moreover, she refused to let me talk to her manager. To me, that is some scary customer service.
