Hi,

I'm having a bit of an issue shifting from 1st gear to 2nd.  Seems like when I press on the clutch the engine rev doesn't go down immediately and it would stay at that rev for a few seconds.  It's like pressing the clutch but not releasing the accelerator.  The thing is I DO release the accelerator.  This happens when I shift from 2nd to 3rd as well.  Also, the clutch is too high.  I've driven standards for more than 20 years now and this is the first time that I have encountered this.  Is there something wrong with my CRV?

Your comments would be really appreciated.  Thanks.

George

That's not normal. My '02 shifts like any other standard I've owned, better
than most actually. Maybe the accelerator is sticking? I did find once
that the floor mat had shifted and the accelerator was catching on it - I
doubt that's what's happening to you but can't hurt to check. I would bring
it in to the dealer.
