I live in Ontario, Canada. I purchased 7 Year Extended Warranty. I have a read a couple of times now that the Door Lock Actuators were covered by this Extended coverage. My Dealer says No. It wouldn't be ther first time they were wrong! Can anyone say from experience if they have had this part covered by the original or the Extended Warranty?

Appreciate your time and input. Thanks and happy new Year!

I found my Warranty paperwork! I have "Comprehensive" coverage (vs. Major), 7 Year/160,00 KM (whichever comes first!), and "UnLimited" Roadside Assistance Plan. The detailed Honbda PLUS Extended Owner Comfort brochure tells me, under the "DOORS & BODY" section, that the Comprehensive coverage includes "Power door lock actuator!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) I'm covered!

What bothers me is that the professionally trained service expert, that put me on HOLD and went to check what coverage I have, specifically regarding the "Door Lock Actuator", returned to the phone and quite confidently told me they weren't covered. When I asked if there is a web-site or documents I could go to to verify this, he again stated with confidence, "...you must look at your original documents...", knowing full well I'm asking him because I don't have those documents! And to think, I received (and still have) three personal letters from Sales manager, Service manager, and President of the dealership welcoming me to the Honda Family [again] and their dealership, swearing BEST service in the world for the duration of our relationship, and they try this crap! Whether intentional or incompitence, just as bad either way! I will update with my progress as I am about to call back and request the repair as a Warranty Service! Wish me luck.

Thanks.
