Honda tells me it must be a failed/broken "actuator" in the Driver-side door. Can someone share or point me to a source of instructions that will help me in removing the inside door panel so I can examine this myself, and hopefully I can order and replace this part myself. Would the Canadian Tire "Shop Manual" be the best source to do this? Would it be worth calling a "Wrecker" to see if they have the part, or is this the type of part better bought new? Any tips, tricks or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
>>> I bought the Hanyes Shop Manual from Canadian Tire and it only shows how to remove the inside door panel. It has a wee bit about door locking system, no pictures, and nothing about the actuator. That'll go back soon. However, for $38.86 I purchased the actuator and will do the job as soon as I get some reasonable instructions and maybe a picture or two to guide me. I'm pretty handy; it just may take a bit longer. I would let the Dealer do it if they were reasnonable, but it's an hour and a half at $99 per hour. The second time I phoned to confirm the price of the labor, and get the part cost, they changed it to two hours labor. (IMG:

Thank you. (IMG:
