I am in the process of figuring out the options I would like to have
the dealer put on my new 2002 EX V. My dealer is qouting me $490 for
a "Tow Package", that includes hitch, ball, wiring harness, and
labor. H and A sells the hitch alone for $189. Is this just an easy
bolt on hitch? Also, does this wiring harness run the entire length
of the vehicle or is it just a simple connection. Or should I just
pay the 490? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

The Honda and most of the aftermarket hitches are 1 1/4 inch.
If you want a 2" receiver, I have found only one con=mpany making a
kit. I was quoted between $125 and $200, they will not have a final
price till it is eady to ship.
I understand that the wiring connector is behind the left tail
light. I would guess that the wiring harness bick up there and ends
in a trailer type connector. I am checking into this, as I will need
to do this.

If you go to the Reese or Hidden Hitch website they show installation
instructions for their hitch. I am guessing that all are about the
same.

I picked up my '02 CRV EX today. It was suppose to have a trailer
hitch. However, they didn't have any in stock and they cannot seem to
find one in the area. Also, they mentioned that the wiring harness is
not part of the trailer hitch option. They still have not figured out
what to about the wiring harness.

The other options I got were the front mud flaps and the roof rack. I
am going to order a front bug gaurd and a cargo area protector.
