Greetings....

Has anyone installed a Thule roof rack on a 2002 CR-V? I'm still trying to
figure out how to get a good fit....

A mechanic friend said that he would expect a lot of noise from the gaps
between the Thule foot pack and the plastic channel/trim of the '02 CR-V.

Has anyone any actual experience driving with a Thule roof rack on the '02
and, if so, is it noisy? Many thanks for any comments....

I just installed a Thule rack on my 2002. I carried a mountain bike
and a see kayak. There is some wind noise, but is not too bad. The
way the Thule foot pads fit in the CRVs channel doesn't look that
great and I worry that leaves, etc. will get in there an plug the
drainage. It doesn't seem Honda designed this vehicle to work with
the standard Thule or Yakima racks. I think it is ridiculus for an
SUV not to be able to fit standard racks. While installing my rack I
was wishing I would of bought a Tundra.
