Just reset the Check Engine code:
In the fuse box under the hood (This applies to 1st gen CR-V, and almost every other Honda, so I don't know why it shouldn't work with the '02s!!), remove the Radio Backup fuse for about 10 seconds, then replace.
You might need to have your radio backup code for this. On my '99, it resets the clock, and on one occasion, I needed to put my code in the radio to get it going again.
