My 2000 TL has been shifting funny (jerky) during the past few months. There are around 35K miles on it. Does anyone else experience similiar type of thing? Thanks!

I have an '02 Type S with 17,000 miles on it that is sitting at the dealership right now getting a new transmission put in it. It was acting strangely intermittently. Sometimes it felt like it was missing, other times it would downshift inappropriately. When I took it to the dealership, the senior mech drove it with me but it did not do anything. He said they would take a look at the transmission fluid, and next thing I know, I'm getting a new transmission. By the way, they are on backorder. The service guy told me they had been having a problem with the tranny on some of the Type S models, but maybe it affects the regular ones as well. I'd have the dealer look at it before your warranty runs out. I hope this helps. Thanks Brad
