I need to remove the splash guard under the front of the engine compartment but the guard bar runs through it. There doesn't seem to be a way to get this cover off without removing the guard bar. What's the function of this bar? I'm concerned that it may cause frame problems if removed without adding some other kind of support for the frame, if that's its function.
