I've got a 2000 cr-v with 80,000 miles. It's the ex 4-wheel drive model. The car sits for a couple of day's at a time in the garage. This car is a 5-speed. The garage is small so when I need to move the car in order to get to something, I put the car in neutral and roll it a foot or so forward or backward. Yesterday my wife went out to go somewhere and the car did not start, it's never done this before! You put the key in and turn the key and all you get is a low whine of an engine, but it's not cranking, it sounds like the starter is missing or maybe a broke timing belt. The next day I roll the car out on to the apron and now it wants to start but it won't. I try again and it starts. Which eliminates the timing belt. I'm thinking that rolling it has something to do with it, but that's crazy. So what do we think?? I've thought maybe the original battery is a problem or the starter itself. Would sure appreciate any info on this problem. Thanks is advance.
