Everyone,

We're new to the list as of this morning. We own a silver 1998 Honda
CRV. We love it. Bought it with 70,000 miles last October and now
have around 81,000 miles on it.

First time to post a question. The CRV came with an in-dash factory
AM/FM radio with a cassette player plugged into the slot beneath. We
want to add a CD player but in order to do that we have to give up
the tape player. I was looking on EBay and there are two CRV factory
CD players taken from a 2000/2001 CRV. They are the CD
player/receiver combo that fits in the top slot. If this were
compatible to our 1998 CRV, we would not have to give up the tape as
the CD player/receiver would fit in the top spot.

The 2000/2001 CD player part number is #39100-S0X-A000 or 39100-S10-
A500. Will this CD player fit in a 1998 CRV? The local dealership
has been of little help only telling me that the part # for a 1998
CRV CD player is 08A06-181-210.

Any information would be of great help. Thanks and look forward to
posting questions in the future.

It should fit no problem, the only question is if it would be compatible
with your tape player below. That is a question for the dealer, or someone
else on the list who has both.

I do have a 2000 CRV double din cd/tape player that I
did list on ebay for sale, and it will fit..For my
radio you need a security code to get it to work. Let
me know if you are interested
