Thanks for replying. The first thing we tried was changing the thermostat. The other thermostat was definitely fired but the new one fried the first day as well, and now it is back to not even cranking at all (IMG:

How long did it take for things to overheat?
If it took a little while or was worse when in traffic you may have lost either the electric motor for the cooling fan or the sensor (usually in the radiator) that controls it. When these sensors fair the fan will not wor. A mechanic can run several tests to check out these items.
When the engine fails to start does it make any sound at all? (clicking, grinding, tries to turn the engine over)
You said the second thermostat was fried? Was it checked out or are you just saying that the overheating is still a problem? (The only real way I know to check a thermostat for function is to put it in some water and heat it up to see if it opens at the appropriate temperature unless there is something obviously amiss such as parts falling out of it.)
Continued overheating risks damage to the head and/or head gasket which can cause many problems and can be expensive to repair.
Is your mechanic used to working on Honda? If not, find someone who is before this gets any worse than it already is.
Good luck.
