Hi, I have oil leaking into the spark plug cylinders. Does anyone know what would cause this?

The plugs are getting fouled?

If its a wet black its oil and likly from the rings.... if we are talking the inner part of the plugs.

If its a dry black it could be gas and you should have a cel light too.

Short of changing the rings you might try some oil thickner.... too many brands to list , and it might slow it down.... Smokestop or stp oil treatment.... change the plugs when they get fouled.. or at least clean them good and maybe you can keep it going for a while.

How many miles do you have on this Honda? and are you blowing blue or black smoke?

Robert

Hi. When you say "spark plug cylinders" do you mean you have oil down in the well where the spark plug is threaded? Meaning if you took the spark plug out, would it drain through the hole and into the combustion chamber? If so, you might need to replace the valve cover gaskets. I had this on my 1993 Honda Accord. And it might be the same with yours. There are small round gaskets that go where the spark plug hole in the head meets the hole in the valve cover.

I hope I helped a little.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) if the oil is just get down in where the spark plug wire goes then that easy to fix ! buy a new valve cover gasket set and there is 4 lil rings that go around the holes thats where the leak is I had the same thing or just try and tighten the cover down easy they break very fast ! good luck on which ever you do!
