I am in the midwest and it snowed upto 10 inches last couple of days. My car (1990 Accord, 160K miles) is running well. Only problem is that the headlights quit working today. When i turned on the light switch, the headlights switched on and switched off immediately. The turn signals are working fine. I am sure that the headlights have not gone bad, as I bought a new pair of lamps last month, so they are brand new lights The connection seems to be OK. I took it to a "auto electric" place. He checked the power supply and suspects a electrical problem. he said it might cost anywhere from $50 - $150 to fix it. He is going to work on it tomorrow. Any suggestions here will surely help me. so, if anyone has any idea as to what might be wrong, please let me know. At least even if i dont fix it I should know what he is going to fix. and wheather he is charging me correctly. Thanks .

Hi Tracy, Purchase a Chilton manual repair book from an auto store if you are thinking to tackle you're two problems. Relays are mainly straight forward but thermostats are a little bit more challenging due to fluids and bleeding of cooling system. good luck, alex Tracy Kistner <

Hey Tracy, Its not at all a stupid question. The relay switch for my car was inside the "fuse box", which is under the hood on the left upper end of the hood. Now if u dont know where the fuse box is... then just pop up ur hood...and look at the left top corner of the car...u will see a black plastic cover...if u look closely it is actually a lid. Just pop it open and u will see a lot of colorful fuses inside and Two bigger size plastic, black color things in the center. These are the relay switches.

Hey thanks, I didn't get a new relay yet, I can only get it from Honda, so I will order one on Tues. But I did pop off my old one and guess what, my lights work. It must have been a layer of corosion or dirt. I also changed out my thermostat. Honda puts them in the back of the engine. Thank you Honda. I'm going to get a relay Mon or Tues and thank you and Merry Christmas. Lights and Heat, there is a Santa Clause!
