Hi my name is Tangi and I just joined this group. I recently bought a 2002 honda accord special edition. I am really enjoying it. The dealership evidently forgot to put an owners manual in the car and I was trying to figure out how the lights on the sunvisor come on (???) I guess they would be called "make up" lights or something (????) They are on the sunvisor when you put it down. Mine aren't coming on. Anyone have any idea why? Or does anyone here own an accord special edition??? Any helpful info. will be appreciated. Thanks, Tangi

In case nobody has answered your question yet, you have to turn the headlights to one of the on positions .

Thank you so much. You are the first one that has answered my question. Actually I called the dealership yesterday morning to find out cuz it was aggravating me as to why they woudn't come on. lol They told me that all the new accords are like that......I wonder if the 04's and 05's are like that. Do you have a honda accord special edition? If so, how do you like yours? Thanks for responding. Tangi

I have 2002 SE, manual transmission. Nice car it's my 3rd Honda, 2 Acuras previously. Some problems such as transmission problems, shifter cable replaced, front struts and rotors replaced, a few squeaks, luckily all were covered under warranty. I have had it for over 3 years so don't know if I will keep it, although the cars are known for their long term durability. I have found all Honda dealers really good. Best car I have had in regards to being problem free was my first Honda a 93 Integra. Good luck with yours.

I can't beleive you had those problems. Especially on a practically new car! How long did you have it before that stuff happened? Do you think those things were defective when you bought it? I had a 92 Honda Accord LX and my sister took it over when I bought the 2002. I purchased an extended warranty (just to be safe) so I'm covered for 100,000 miles. A couple of my friends told me that I was crazy to have bought an extended warranty on a honda but oh well I did. LOL Once all that stuff was fixed have you had anymore problems? Thanks for the info.
