Are there any 01's out there?  And, if so, what kind of deals are being given.  I have a 98 with low mileage (35000) and have thoughts of trading.  I love the style, but would like more horses, and the 01 will give me that, plus a few other improvements they made from 98 thru 01.. 

Searching www.autotrader.com for new 2001 CRVs at any distance, I came up with 70 cars.  You might try checking a few other car sites as well.

Most dealers in SC have at least one or two SE or EX '01 "V's" but they are going quickly.  Honda is offering $500 cash back on the 01's so I don't expect them to last long.

I don't think you will get more horsepower out of the '01,
Ialthough I could be wrong. I was under the impression the '02
was the first horsepower increase.

Well, the 99+ models do have a 20hp increase from the olders ones, and thats
noticable. Still, I would only describe our 01s power as "adequate" and
nothing more. I have driven my coworkers 02, and it has much more "grunt".

Also, I kinda doubt you will be able to find any 01s left, although I guess
it depends on the area. We got our 2001 in November just as the 02s were
arriving and there were only 5-6 left. This is from a dealer that normally
had 60 or more CRVs in stock on any given day. When my friend got his 02 at
the dealer first of Jan, that dealer said the 01s were "long gone". Doesnt
hurt to look around though, you could get lucky! :-)
