I have a '92 Legend, just bought it. A serious
vibration started during the end of a 700 mile trip... upon
acceleration, the front end vibrated seriously, enough to make
me pull over. It started out with a smaller
vibration, and as the trip continued, it got worse. If I was
just maintaining speed, it was okay, but when I
accelerated, it got much worse.

I took the car to an
independent mechanic, who suspected perhaps one of the coil
packs had gone bad, but since the vibration was gone
the next morning when I took it in, he couldn't
diagnose it. He replaced all 6 spark plugs, which needed
replacing anyway. It was almost as if the engine was
missing - either one cylinder or more than one, and
caused it to vibrate.

Since then, I haven't
experience the problem nearly as bad. However, it's still
there, on a smaller scale. I don't want to spend a lot
of money at the Acura dealer and have him tell me
the problem is normal for this engine. I also hate to
think it's a transmission problem.

Thanks for
any insight you can add...
